Gregory Miwok 18 Daypack Specifications.

Boasting an expandable front pocket big enough for extra layers or a helmet, the Gregory Miwok 18 is a great companion for all your trail activities. The Miwok 18 is outfitted with Gregory's BioSync ATS technology system.

The Miwok 18 offers 1,090 cubic inches of storage.
ATS stands for Active Trail Suspension, and includes a set of flexible tendons that attach the shoulder harness and waist belt to the pack body. This allows the pack and suspension to move with the body while in motion, keeping you comfortable throughout the day. The BioSync ATS system also offers on-the-fly quick access to an internal compression structure, allowing you to draw the pack in closer to your back as the volume of the reservoir decreases.

Storage-wise, the Miwok 18 includes a sizable main compartment, dual stretch-mesh waist belt pockets with cargo stabilizer loops, a front pocket with a mesh organizer, side mesh pockets, and a fleece-lined media pocket for your MP3 player or other gadget. And hydration is a must while on the move, which is why the pack includes a hydration sleeve (reservoir sold separately) and an exit port with a tube management system. The hydration sleeve offers back-fill access for easy refilling. Other features include an Aero-Mesh back panel, an adjustable sternum strap, a webbing loop for securing a bicycle light or reflector, a key clip, and reflective accents.

Specifications:

  • Hydration-compatible: Yes
  • Gear capacity: 1,090 cubic inches (18 liters)
  • Fits torso: 16 to 22 inches
  • Weight: 1 pound 9 ounces
  • Warranty: Lifetime

About Gregory Mountain Products
Wayne Gregory designed his first backpack at age 14 as part of a Boy Scout project. Shortly afterward, he met Andy Drollinger, the founder of San Diego California Adventure 16. Andy was so impressed with Wayne's design that he invited the Boy Scout to visit the Adventure 16 factory, where he began tinkering with a variety of backpack ideas. Wayne soon became the young company's second employee. Wayne opened his first company, Sunbird, in 1970, but dissolved it a few years later after expressing frustration with the limitations of external frame designs. He founded Gregory Mountain Products in 1977, eventually pioneering many firsts, including being the first to build backpacks in different frame, harness, and waist belt sizes; the first (and still only) pack manufacturer to develop a waist belt system that adjusts to fit different hip angles; and developing the center-locking bar tack, a stitch that ends and locks off on the center of a seam instead of the side for increased strength at major stress points. Gregory is located in Sacramento, California.
